“Mojo 02”

Limited Edition of 25
Year: 2017

Description:

Nevada 2014: An engrossed, surreal moment, directed by nature.

Nevada 1860: Gold diggers roamed the land in search of riches. Few were as lucky as Jim Butler, who got caught in a sandstorm with his pack donkeys. Jim sought shelter at the foot of a mountain. The next day, the animals had disappeared. When he finally found them again, the stubborn donkeys did not want to go with him. He picked up a stone to get them moving, but it was unusually heavy. The stone was made almost entirely of silver. The lucky donkeys had found a mine!

Donkeys played an important role in Nevada’s mining history. Sometimes they managed to escape or were turned loose. These donkeys are their descendants. Shaggy and distant they’re still roaming the desert, more than 100 years later.
